But what you write about is not that you don't enjoy your children, or family life. You are pointing out the INIQUITIES within the life you chose. The systemic ways in which women are always at a loss when they choose to become parents because they are trying to function within a system that was designed to subjugate and exploit them. As a woman, if you don't have children, you're selfish. if you do have children and talk about the lack of support for that choice, also selfish. You can't win a game that is always rigged.

The reactions you're getting from people is just straight up misogyny. Full fucking stop.

I love the app and can't wait for our 3 days to kick off the conversation we need to have versus the one im too tired to have because I am too burnt out to articulate it. Im a special needs mum and I love being a mum but it's a whole different workload that goes completely unnoticed by everyone. I really think this will help me advocate for myself and others by learning how much its actually taking.

You are EXACTLY who I built this for. I won’t pretend it’s a silver bullet that will fix every marital problem, but I do hope it makes women’s lives just that little bit easier. I can’t wait to hear how you go!

The app looks great! I don't have children or a partner and logging my efforts living with 2 cats....well, we know how that score would look! I look forward to reading more about it and the changes people find. I think it's very clever. All the very best with it.

I think the most important thing here is what you said about the friend who wasn't having a difficult experience. Great for her. But when people are struggling, they need support, empathy, and someone to say "me too." Motherhood is difficult. That does not negate the beauty of it, but it is a shitshow. I've had to put boundaries up with people around me I never thought I would. I've had to work less and figure out how to still pay the bills. I've been screamed at, hit, bit, and then hugged, the whole sourpatch kids of it all. And I wouldn't trade a minute of it. It can be the hardest thing and the greatest thing at the same time. It is. And hearing that other mom's are experiencing the same thing is the only way to survive it. Our girl group text is ever a mix of "Is ____ normal?" "What do you guys do when ____ ?" and "Look at this! Aren't they the best?!" because we need community in difficulty.

I feel the exact same way. Knowing I’m not alone has made all of the hard time just that little bit easier.

People on the internet are exhausting. I’m sorry you’ve run into it but I’m so glad i found you! Excited to explore the app!

Hear hear! So true. Don't give the negativity energy and time. What you are saying is your voice, your experience, and resonates with many. Not everyone has to agree. They also dont need to chop you down and throw dirt at you for a different voice or experience.

Congrats on the app!!

Thank you!

Sorry you’re getting those comments! It’s so easy to write them online, but probably none of them would be able to say it to your face. Just pouring their own frustration on you.

I admire your work and content. I’m currently pregnant and reading about your experience is very important to me. Thank you!

This is so true, and a really important reminder. Thank you for your kind words!
